September Kitten Rescue #2

This little fella was heard yelping for help in the horse's watering trough today.
Bear scooped him out with a shovel (allergic to cats) and Mandy dried him off and gave him some tender loving care!
Here she's doing the Mufasa (Lion King) thing!

It was pretty tired, and very hungry.

The mama is our black and white cat, but when she saw it staggering, she clawed at it and would have nothing to do with the wee one, so we knew we had to call on chihuahua mama!

This is so cute to watch. Here's the dog that never had a puppy of her own, but she loves these little baby kittens! This wee one is in the kennel tonight with Chiquie

Update to our last year kitten rescue: This is Beebs looking on at the familiar scene. She's the kitten Mandy rescued last year, and still has quite a relationship with the chihuahua. She's had one batch of kittens this year and is looking like another batch will arrive soon. When she's not expecting, she can fit through the fence and she still gets into the kennel with Chiquie.

The Posyluzny Farm has a New Addition!

Mandy found this little orphaned kitten in the pump house. It ended up getting into the kennel with our black lab, who was very gentle with it, but we decided her best chances were with our chihuahua in the garage condo. We've still got cool weather here. Our chihuahua adopted it in a heartbeat. We've had to bottle feed for a couple of weeks, but she's doing so well. She is such a cutie and it's just like having a new baby around!

Stick Horse Rodeo

Mandy went with a friend to the Young Adult's Family Home Evening last week. They were having a stick horse rodeo! She dressed in her cowgirl duds, and even wore her Papa's belt!

First Ride of Spring!

We were out checking fences and Noah just kept following Mandy around the pasture.
The sun was out, and it just seemed like a nice day for a ride. He convinced her to go in and get his bridle and take him for a walk.
There is no doubt she loves this old boy! When the boys ask her who her boyfriend is, I tell her there's only one good answer: Noah!
Awe.....this sun makes me sleepy!

Here they are both showing off their wild horse hair!

I love you, Noah Boy!

Around and around they went....

Although the sun was out, it was still pretty chilly!

The nice thing is he's such a gentle giant, no saddle needed.

Nice riding togs!

And a treat for being such a good boy!

Snow Fun!

Trying out her snow board equipment--going boarding tomorrow!

As for snow removal, you can groom it, but don't take it away!

When it comes to snow removal, it's time for Bear's latest toy!

Who would have thought a lawn mower minus the carriage plus a snow blade on the front could be so much fun!

Out of gas so soon?

Friends + Family + 4th of July + Fireworks =equals= FUN!

It's our traditional week of celebration--dinner at the square, fireworks, parade, good food and great friends! We ventured off the farm and enjoyed a great day with friends on the 4th of July, celebrating this great country and the freedoms we enjoy! God Bless the USA!
Manda made dance team this year and they performed in the parade. She was awesome!

Here they are in formation.

It was a perfect day, not too hot and even a bit of a breeze.

Waving to the fans!

The Parade
Isaac was very intent on learning how to eat sunflower seeds.
His interest peaked when he saw Bear spitting out the shells!

McKenzie and Isaac
Good Friends

Good Games!

Good food!

Too much good food!
That's Jesse instructing Mandy on the fine art of scooping watermelon without leaving a fork mark in the fruit!
Just call me Corn Boy! We lost count, but corn was about the only thing we ran out of.
Next year 2 dozen ears! See the recipe I used this year on my http://www.jewelsjunk.blogspot.com/
I tried corn on the cob in the crock pot and it worked, just ask Isaac!
The water fight

This is how innocent it started. Just soft little water balloons, but before long it turned into an all out war, with the enemy stealing artillery and hoses. Everyone got soaked, but had a great time.

Fun/pain on the trampoline!

Is it time for "Fireyworks" yet?
